Right now the weekly digest exposes a poster's personal email address to every recipient, since replying directly to the digest email routes to them. That means anyone who posts in the community is opting into having their personal email visible to the entire list, just by participating.
That's not a fair trade. People should be able to engage in the community without their personal contact info becoming public by default. It's a privacy and security gap, and it also removes agency: members aren't choosing to share their email, they're having it surfaced as a side effect of posting.
Ask: give us the option to disable direct reply-to-poster in the digest, or route replies through a masked/proxy address instead of the poster's real one. Ideally this is a toggle we control per digest, not an all-or-nothing platform setting.
